This page shows all the I've done in Photo 1 class in my junior year of HS.
In this project I had to take 20 pictures of myself and use 16 of then to create a layout of emotions. I used the quick selection tool and the eraser tool to delete the background. I then put the images in the new document and added a background image. I then added lines to sperate the images and changed the colors of each image to a color that matches the emotion.
In this project I had to take images of things with lines that lead to something. I had to take multiple images of different things. I used both auto and manual to make sure things where in focus. Once I did that I uploaded them to my computer and put them in photoshop. I then placed them in one big document. I added outer glow to all the images and then added text.
This is the framing Project. I had to take use my creativity and pictures of things through a frame. I took many photos for a final of 12 good photos. After I took the photos I put them into photoshop and but a frame on them. My favorite photo is the top left and top right. Somethings are frames without you thinking about it. It was cool to see the world and have many natural frames.
Texture & Pattern Project
This is the texture/pattern project. I had to take pictures of things that had some type of pattern or texture. In total I had to take 8 photos of texture and 8 photos of a pattern. A lot of the pictures are things up close. This project was fun because I got to look at things differently. The ones with the blue outline are the texture and the ones with the black outline are patterns. I matched up the text with the frames so you can tell the difference.
In this project I had to take an object (my watch). I needed 12 photos. The goal was to take the object and put it in places it wouldn't be in. I used manual focus to make sure the watch was focused. The best part of the project was looking at places I wouldn't normally take pictures of and then taking a picture of those places.
In this project, I worked with two other people and learned about shutter speed. We had to use our camera lights to make light trails. Notice how some lines are thinker than others that’s because while taking the photo with the shutter speed at 10-15 seconds the one holding the camera moved around while we moved the lights. This project was very fun!
In this project, I learned how to use manual mode on the camera which is basically about shutter speed and aperture. I had to take two blurry photos and two photos where only one thing is moving in the frame and the rest is still. It was fun to think of ideas for the two photos that had to be still in the background.
Pick "A" Something Project
The goal of this project was to pick something, the thing I picked was metal. It was fun taking many photos to get the right one since I was using manual mode. I had take some pictures of metal in a natural state, I couldn't move anything my favorite photos are the ones where I went to the store with my camera and took some photos around the store like of the hangers and the metal statue.
In this project, I had to take 10 images with depth of field which is the distance you create from one object to another. Some I found naturally and some I made myself. Once I got my photos I added them to photoshop and with the text I made it look like someone the text was blurry to make it convey the depth of field.
This is the money project. In this project I had to take 5 colored photos and 10 black and white photos using monochromatic mode on the camera and learned about dramatic lighting. It was fun setting up still lifes to take photos of, theres so many ways to set up the money but because of that there was endless possibility's.
This is the foodie project. I had to take 10 photos of food using some of the things I learned in previous projects an example is depth of field and dramatic lighting. It was fun taking pictures of some still life things and setting the stuff up to take a picture of. It was also cool to see the stuff that I learned used in one project all together.
In this project I had to take 16 "selfies" 8 of them had to be black and white and 8 of them had to be color. I had to be creative to complete this project, I even put paint on my face for a picture. This project was fun because I had to be creative and think outside the box.
In this project I had to create something that reminded me of resilince. I used illustrator to make this image. I like the idea of a force pushing someone off a cliff to an alligator.
